Students at the University of South Carolina in America are being offered the chance to study a course in Lady Gaga, reports the Telegraph.
The course, which will be called, “Lady Gaga and the Sociology of Fame” aims to explore the phenomenon that Lady Gaga is in popular culture.
“We’re going to look at Lady Gaga as a social event,” explained Professor Mathieu Deflem, who created the course.
“Other people say that Gaga’s the new Madonna. I see it more like there’s people who have this very individual thing. Frank Zappa had it. Prince had it. Miles Davis had it. Jimi Hendrix had it. And Lady Gaga has it.”
Would you study for a degree module in Gaga? We’d love to hear your thoughts…
