Running in Heels is the new hit reality show from the US showing a behind-the-scenes look at the fast paced, glamorous fashion magazine world in New York City.

The show is centred around three new interns as they embark on a placement at the US edition of Marie Claire under the supervision of feisty editor-in-chief Joanna Coles. Joanna and her team of hard-working journalists provide an engaging view into what it’s really like to work for an international fashion magazine.

What is so entertaining about the show and makes it such compelling viewing for reality TV lovers like myself is the incredible lengths the interns will go to fight each other for a job ‘a million girls would die for’. Having to live, work and compete with each other is proving to be difficult for these three young aspiring fashion journalists as they seem to think bitching, sniping and moaning about each other is essential in competing to win the ultimate prize.

Tears, tantrums and bitching – this show has it all. The crazy world of shoes and handbags in The Devil Wears Prada seems to pale in comparison to the bitchy world of interning on a fashion magazine. As Ashley, Samantha and Talita are starting to realise the world of fashion journalism isn’t all glamorous parties and hanging out with celebrities their frustration becomes more amusing for the viewers.

Being set challenges including being sent around New York City to pick up a designer dress, carrying out personal errands for the team and even making goodie bags – these girls have to do it all with smiles on their faces – and even wearing stilettos if they really want to succeed in the ruthless world of fashion journalism!

For any fashionistas out there, if you like The Hills and Ugly Betty – then enjoy watching these girls fight it out in the fashion magazine world in Running in Heels on E4 Tuesday’s at 10pm.
