We are all children born under the proud promontory of planet Earth. Some of us are serious, but most of us like to play games. The game we are going to play today is the Google game.
When I logged into my Uprising Wordpress account, I was greeted by a set of Google driven ‘Insights’ into what would be good to write about, presumably based on what has attracted lots of web traffic over the last few hours. The idea being that if I write about those subjects, I might attract lots of traffic for t5m and they might go ‘Hurrah, Harry you are amazing’ and upgrade me to full Contributor status.
Ricky Martin is registering +4000% so I have named this article after him. But to be honest I don’t care about Ricky Martin, so lets not dwell there.
Leeds Festival 2010 is registering +500%. The only Festival I have ever been to is the Big Chill which was definitely quite cool. I am going again this year with the charity SolarAid because I used to work for them and they are the Festival’s official charity partner: www.solar-aid.org. I don’t know much about Leeds apart from the fact that they are good at Rugby League and Boddingtons is made somewhere up that way (maybe its made in Manchester).
Reading Festival 2010 is next on Google’s recommendations for subject material. Reading is not my favourite place but I am sure it has hidden charms for its locals.
f1. I don’t like Formula 1 racing.
The Met Office is after that. I wish I was in the sunshine.
weather forecast uk is next. a foregone conclusion: grey, rainy with intermittent sunny spells.
easter. i am not a Christian and my writing skills are disintegrating, I have lost the capital letters that I should be using and I have lost my sentences with subjects, objects and verbs. no worries, its only words. ‘Words, words, words’ as Hamlet says.
bbb10. what the hell is that?!
wwe is next: I am equally bemused.
weather forecast. back to that again, but without the ‘uk’ this time. I have been told recently to talk about the weather in the lift because I work at a secretive place and we are not meant to talk about work in the lift just in case someone is listening.
That’s it for today’s game. We might play again or we might not, lets see how we feel.
Oh and the cool Malagasy dude doing the fishing has a life untouched by Google (untouched so far, but its only a matter of time). I met him in Madagascar on my adventures. I didn’t catch any fish when I tried but it was a fun trip.
Adios, god bless, love to you all
