Chantelle Houghton broke down yesterday on ex-hubby Samuel Preston’s shoulder. Along with it being their wedding anniversary, fellow-housemate and infamous meddler, John McCririck, continued to make inappropriate remarks about the two reigniting their flame. Whilst Preston laughed along with McCririck, the smile was quickly wiped from his face as he noticed Chantelle had not taken to the jesting lightly. Convening to the bathroom as she became tearful, the 27 year-old was soon joined by the former Ordinary Boys singer, Preston, offering a shoulder to cry on. Embarrassed for making a scene, Chantelle said, ‘I just got really upset then, I don’t know why. It’s just cos everyone keeps talking about it’, explaining that she was crying because it was ‘just really sad’ that their marriage failed, to which Preston agreed: ‘It’s heartbreaking’.

Despite having parted ways in June 2007, having been married for just 10 months, the pair have been getting on well in the house, even choosing two single beds beside each other in the bedroom. It is possible that John McCririck’s remarks about a rekindling romance may not be as far-fetched as the former lovers suggest!
