Russell Brand is clearly very loved up with his soon to be bride, Katy Perry. He’s even besotted when she’s dressed head to toe in full geek gear.

Whilst presenting the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday, Katy went through an array of costume changes, including a geek ensemble, complete with dungarees, chunky glasses and a rather dashing head brace.

Russell posted a picture of the pair posing backstage, with the caption: “The real winner of the Teen Choice awards is…I AM! I won a fantastic new bride.”

We don’t want to be a bitter Betty but this couple are starting to irritate us with just how sweet and in love they are. Plus, how is it fair that Katy still looks gorgeous with a headbrace?!

 Katy Perry shunned clothes to showcase her perfect physique in nude underwear for the cover of Rolling Stone.

The singer is said to have kicked her exercise regime up a notch in preparation for her upcoming nuptials and it’s clearly paying off.

The 24 year old is known for her hour glass figure and is clearly very proud to flaunt her curves. In a recent interview with You Tube, Katy credited her relationship with Russell Brand for her new found body confidence, admitting that she hadn’t always been so comfortable in her own skin.

Russell you are one lucky fella. These pictures are even leaving us ladies a tad hot under the collar.

Katy Perry sends Russell Brand into outer space

Katy Perry and Russell Brand are not your average sort of couple, so it’s only fitting that Katy’s birthday present to Russell was not your average sort of present.

Not content with just a heartfelt card and some aftershave, Katy is sending her soon to be hubby into space.

The singer has forked out an astonishing 128,000 for a seat on Richard Branson’s new Galactic spacecraft for Russell’s 35^th birthday.

Virgin Galactic representative, Louella Faria, confirmed:

“It is true. We are very excited to have him onboard. There will be 17-inch diameter windows to look out onto. Passengers will be able to view Earth around 800 miles in any direction from space. They will pop champagne, give you astronaut wings and give you a party.”

But it looks like Brand’s present may have to be a belated one as the space craft is currently undergoing testing.  Its maiden flight from Mojave Desert into Mexico may not be until May 2012.

 The I Kissed a Girl star clearly made the right move when choosing her Candyland inspired album cover, considering what the alternative may have been..

The 24 year old singer posted a hilarious snap of fiancé Russell on Twitter with the caption:  ”My alternate album cover for Teenage Dream… Are you glad I went with the 1st?”

In the picture (posted above) we can see our dear, old Russell posing topless, styled with a bright, purple wig and accessorised with Katy Perry’s cat, Kitty Purry.

We can’t imagine there’s ever a dull day in the Brand Perry household….

Russell Brand may want to look away right now as his soon to be missus has been snapped cavorting on a beach with a young, hunky actor.

But Brand can still hold onto his top hat and tux as Katy is merely acting for her new video, Teenage Dreams.

Ex OC star Josh Kloss plays Katy’s love interest in the new video, where the pair are snapped in a number of sensual poses including Katy straddling the actor as they dance together on the beach.

Let’s hope Russell is the understanding type..

Russell Brand: Riding the waves in the USA?

It was nearly two years ago, since Russell Brand surfed BBC 2’s radio waves, but due to the Saachsgate scandal, Russell’s DJ days were cut short but he might be making a radio comeback in the US.

The Sun has reported that there is millions of dollars being offered by Sirius Radio. The radio station is very keen to get Russell onboard and Russell is itching to get back on the radio. His old sidekick Matt Morgan is also enthusiastic about getting involved. Russell is now a huge star in the US after the success of his films “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” and “Get Him To The Greek”, not to mention being the soon to be husband of Katy Perry.

The Daily Star told us that Russell Brand is going to be doing a top secret project with Jonathan Ross. The two will be reunited later on in the year, inevitably up to even more mischief.

Wossy has been with the BBC for 12 years and will be leaving at the end of this month. He will be taking a gap year of sorts, continuing to write comic books and he will also be tweeting fans still. He is also going to be presenting the comedy awards this year. We won’t be seeing as much of Wossy this year but he will be popping up here and there.

The Canadian based MuchMusic Video Awards was a star studded event with Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber giving fans the electric show that many had camped outside for.

Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry took to the stage  in sexy, minimalist outfits, with Miley, justifiably flaunting her toned, tanned physique moving away from her clean cut image she had adorned in Hannah Montana.  The singer wore a provocative white lace basque reminiscent of Madonna’s “Like a virgin” outift  and a black raunchy leotard with leather hotpants . The Mail Online reported that Cyrus has been criticised for exposing too much flesh at the awards which is watched by families, but it is clear that the girl is now all grown-up.  Another beautifully glamorous girl, Katy Perry, also wowed at the awards, showing off her womanly curves off in a skimpy Marilyn Monro-esque style sparkly top and diamante encrusted hotpants. Katy showed future fiancé and the world that Russell Brand is a very lucky man!

Whilst Katy enchanted fans she unfortunately went home empty handed. However, Cyrus won International Video of the Year for “Party in the USA” and Canadian born Bieber was given an array of awards to add to his collection for the single “Baby” ft Ludacris.  It was certainly a proud night for Canada.

No one can resist Katy Perry. Whether you are a boy or gurl…if Katie kissed us, we’re pretty sure ‘we’d like it’ too. At the same time, The Sharpener harbours similar feelings for Russell Brand…which makes them our favourite/least favourite couple of the moment. Jealously can be a terrible thing.

Katy Perry looked amazing yesterday as she performed in Times Square, New York. She was wearing a turquoise and pink palm tree PVC bodycon dress that anyone else would look like a wrapped up sausage in.  Her hair tightly pulled back revealed a wonderful, plunging neckline. The whole thing could have looked like a terrible wardrobe malfunction. But it didn’t. It worked.

We can’t help being jealous. But it’s pretty clear that our chances are now slim-to none as it has been revealed that the pair have matching tattoos. Quite discreet and tucked under their arms, the tattoo is written in Sanskrit inking reads Anuugacchati Pravaha, meaning “Go With The Flow’. A little pretentious,perhaps, but we’re just nit-picking at details.

The pair have been dating for nine months and will be getting married later this year. We have seen Katy change from being the daughter of two pastors and fan of prom dresses to a Brand (quite literally) influenced goddess in kinky tight dresses. She performed ‘California Gurls’ on top of the Volkswagen which was being launched at the event in New York.  Even so, she still speaks eloquently about her religious beliefs. She claims that:

“Like, sometimes my boyfriend [Brand] will say things that are… ehhh. From where I come from, it’s hard for me to say that…”

It’s so hard to detect Perry’s imperfections. Maybe her weird ‘YES’ bracelet? Are her shoes a tad big for her?

“I’m a very happy person day to day, I have bad days like everybody else but with everything that’s happening right now, I only have reasons to smile.”

If you don’t have a reason to smile Katy, no one does.
