…But the rest of Girls Aloud shouldn’t hold their breath for an invite.

Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle has been sporting a whopping great rock on her wedding finger, after her American football player boyfriend, Jason Bell, popped the question to the Irish beauty.

Nadine told the Mirror: “He surprised me,” she said. “We were in our pyjamas. He was really nice about it. He got down on two knees because he was all banged up from playing football. It was really nice.”

But the rest of Girls Aloud needn’t bother checking their post for an invite just yet as the rift between the bandmates grows bigger than – well the huge diamond that Nad’s currently sporting.

The Irish singer let slip on Scot Mills’ show that things may not be quite so rosy in the Girls Aloud camp.

The singer revealed that Cheryl Cole didn’t bother to reply when she contacted her during her recent bout of malaria.

“I text her to make sure she was alright, but I think she must have been busy or whatever.”

Hmmm, we’re not sure if ‘busy or whatever’ is the right way to describe someone suffering from malaria. Perhaps Cheryl could be forgiven for her lack of response given the circumstances hey Nads?

But the soloist also made a dig at the other girls. When asked about reports that she had been out of contact with her other bandmates Nadine replied. My number hasn’t changed. They can call me any day.”

However the newly engaged star did say that the band was still very much together and the five were all still friends, despite referring to Cheryl, Sarah, Nicola and Kimberly as first and foremost ‘work colleagues’, not to mention those blanked texts, but hey who are we to judge!

Nadine has also announced the launch of her new debut album which she has made off the back of her own record label ‘Black pen records’. The new single ‘Insatiable’ is a mix of big bold vocals and sassy brass instrumentals.

But what we are most excited about it that the single goes out in November a week after the first song of Cheryl Cole’s second album.

Let the battle begin!
