It was a weekend of weddings, with former president Bill Clinton’s daughter Chelsea marrying her long term partner Marc Mezvinsky and Alicia Keys and producer boyfriend, Swizz Beatz, eloping in the Mediterranean.

But whilst the world may have been hooked on the Chelsea Clinton and Alicia Key’s nuptial’s, we were more concerned with our favourite bride to be, Lisa Simpson.

In one particular episode of the Simpsons, we see a flash forward to Lisa’s wedding day with the invitations dated August 1st, 2010. The episode aired in 1995, foreseeing the then 8 year old as an engaged 23 year old women, nervously anticipating her big day.
