Despite her incessant protesting, Hollywood’s most troublesome diva Lindsay Lohan began her 90 day sentence at the Lynwood Correctional Facility on Tuesday morning.
The Mean Girls star was jailed for breaking the probation terms incurred following a 2007 offence of drink driving and drug possession charges. Despite the harsh sentence it’s believed the actress may get just three weeks for good behaviour. She famously served only 84 minutes of her sentence back in 2007 so clearly Miss Lohan has a knack for talking her way out of trouble.
However, this prison stint is not going to be an easy ride for Lohan as reports suggest that inmates are already placing bets on who will be the first to make the fallen actress cry. The 2,200 strong jail includes murderers, junkies and prostitutes and many assume that Lindsay will have to be placed in isolation her own safety.
A former inmate at Lynwood said “It’s horrible – not a nice place to be. They do it on purpose so you won’t come back.”
Lindsay’s latest mug shot was taken soon after arrival at the correctional facility and true to form the actress couldn’t help but give her best pout to the camera.
Shortly before arriving at the correctional facility Lohan tweeted “The only ‘bookings’ I’m familiar with are Disney films. Never thought I’d be booking into jail … eeeks.”
After serving her sentence Lindsay will be forced to comply with court orders and serve a stint in rehab. Lohan’s attorney Shawn Chapman Holley said that although Lindsay was scared “She’s resolute and she’s doing it.”
Let’s hope this stint in jail is just the wakeup call Lindsay so desperately needs.
