They say you write what you know and this statement seems apt for reality star turned author Lauren Conrad.
The former Hill’s star has made her name for herself in the book world, penning a series of novels focusing on the lives and dramas of a group of people starring in an LA based reality show.
The premise may seem a tad autobiographical but Conrad has always insisted that the ‘Candy’ series is not based on the Hills or any of her former cast members.
Therefore it must just be a massive coincidence that Lauren Conrad, who rose to fame in the Laguna Beach spin off The Hills, is planning to release a spin off book series involving one of the current characters Madison.
Whereas the main character of the ‘Candy’ series Jane is not too fond of the fame and attention she receives for being on the show, her friend Madison laps it up and loves to be centre of attention.
Conrad said she can’t wait to explore the story from another characters point of view. “I think it would be really fun to do it the other way, with someone who loves it…Someone who loves fame and plays the game well.”
Lauren has said we can expect the spin off series to be much darker than the original novels. Wow, we can’t wait to read about what Heidi gets up to. Oh sorry, Madison.
