Justin Timberlake and Elton John have been named as potentials to replace Simon Cowell after he departs American Idol.
Sources have speculated that the show will undergo a complete transformation, leaving the fate of the existing panel of judges uncertain.
This isn’t the first time American Idol has targeted high profile celebrities for guest judge positions. Following Paula Abduls departure from the show, celebrities such as Katy Perry, Victoria Beckham and Avril Lavigne were brought in to fill the spot.
