Jersey Shore is back with a new season and a new shore to invade, in Miami.
The show became a surprise hit last season, with viewers tuning into watch the 8 self proclaimed “guidos” and “guidettes” party the summer away in Jersey Shore.
The cast seemed free of inhibition; sleeping around, fighting, drinking and partying on a daily basis.
There was never a dull moment and each episode was packed with punch, sometimes too literally in the case of poor Snooki who viewers saw last season get knocked out by a man standing at the bar when a fight broke out about stolen drinks.
No stranger to controversy, the show was loved and loathed in equal measures, with Italian American viewers believing the Guido and Guidette stereotypes portrayed them in a bad light.
But now it’s back for a second season and opinion has been split as to whether the show can recapture the special ingredient that made it so successful in the first place. Especially now the cast are no longer just 8 normal people, but fully fledged celebrities with a 5 figure salary per episode.
Still judging from the trailer, it looks like we can expect the same amount of drama as former housemate, Angelina, make an unwelcome return to the house and causes drama almost immediately when she beds Vinny, soon after he’s been with Snooki.
We also see Ronnie and Sammi, now broken up, attempting to deal with the awkward living situation and fighting continuously as newly single Ronnie enjoys his new found freedom a little too much..
Jersey Shore Season Two premiered last night in the US and MTV UK can confirm that the new series will be hitting our screens shortly.
