It’s the film series that has enamoured the world like no other – the first part of the highly-anticipated, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, is finally premiering tonight in London’s Leicester Square. For the past ten years, the world has watched the film’s stars, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert  Grint and Emma Watson, grow and embody three of the most famous fictional characters, and tonight’s premiere promises to celebrate the film series in style.

The finale, which Grint and his co-stars have referred to as “the end of a real era”, Deathly Hallows: Part One, sees the return of the famous boy wizard as his epic battle against the Dark Lord, Voldemort, determines the future for the Wizarding World for ever. While Harry, Ron and Hermione are forced to leave their beloved Hogwarts behind, their journey to find the remaining Horcruxes will open their eyes to Voldemort’s deepest and darkest secrets, and find them encountering some of the biggest challenges they’ve faced yet. The series, which has featured the best of British talent such as Alan Rickman, Helena Bonham Carter, Julie Walter, Ralph Fiennes and Bill Nighy, has made an estimated £2.5b; more than any other movie series yet.

The trio, who gathered last night to celebrate the Warner Bros takeover of Harry Potter’s home, Leavesden Studios, will be joined by cast and crew tonight at the Leicester Square Odeon for the world premiere. Watson, 20, who is currently studying at Brown university, has expressed the cast and crew’s support for the studio, which has not only housed the Harry Potter films, but has also seen the production of movies such as The Dark Knight and Inception.

Fans have reportedly been camping out since last night, in spite of the awful weather, hoping to catch a glimpse of the stars walking the red carpet, while those at home will be able to watch the red carpet action live between 5 and 7PM (GMT) via an exclusive webstream from Warner Bros.
