Grease star Jeff Conaway, who played Kenickie in the hit seventies film, is fighting for his life after a freak accident left him with a brain haemorrhage, broken hip and fractured neck.
The 59 year old, who has in the past struggled with an addiction to cocaine and painkillers, was said to have mysteriously fallen down the stairs at his LA home. He is currently being treated at an LA hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.
His girlfriend Vicky Lizzi told E! News, the US gossip website, that ‘Jeff thinks these are his final days.’
The actor made famous by the cult teen flick married fellow Grease co-star Olivia Newton John’s sister in 1980, they split five years later.
He has also starred in the sci-fi series Babylon 5 and the comedy Taxi.
