Gisele has sparked controversy after comments she made regarding breastfeeding.
The Brazilian model claimed that it should be law for women to breastfeed their baby for up to 6 months after birth.
The new mum voiced her strong opinions on the matter in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar:
“”I think breastfeeding really helped (me keep me figure). Some people here (in the US) think they don’t have to breastfeed, and I think ‘Are you going to give chemical food to your child when they are so little?’ I think there should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months.”
No doubt Gisele’s comments are going to cause a sting amongst certain celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez and Denise Van Outen, who both have said they decided against breastfeeding their young children.
This is not the first time Gisele has caused controversy with her comments on motherhood. Speaking about her birth she claimed: “[it] didn’t hurt in the slightest.”
As well as managing to achieve a pain free labour, the 30 year old also snapped back into shape a mere 6 weeks after giving birth.
Yep Gisele, we’re sure young mother everywhere will just lap up these comments..
