Having endured a gruelling year, contracting malaria and facing an imminent divorce, Cherly Cole puts on her trademark brave face as she embraces a new year with her official calendar for 2011. Cole appears stronger than ever before on the front cover of her calendar. Sporting a tough-girl image in hobnail boots and a military-style hat, Cole poses with her legs spread in a dominating fashion, just one of 12 seductive poses featured inside. The calendar follows reports that Cole turned down an offer of 500,000 to strip for Playboy magazine, choosing to opt for the classy alternative.
Despite stern warnings from XFactor’s Simon Cowell that she should be taking it easy until she is in the clear of her life-threatening bout of malaria and back to full health, not one to shy away from her duties, Cole is back at work and recording new material. Appearing to take Cowell’s advice on board, Cole flew to LA with her backing dancer and close friend, Hough (although is rumoured to be somewhat more than a friend), with the intent of taking it easy. However, despite friendly suggestions from her doctors that she is still too weak to return to work, it has been reported that Cole is currently busy recording the follow-up to her debut album 3 Words.
