Two of the world’s most famed and talented pianists, Lang Lang and Herbie Hancock, took to the stage at last night’s The Classical BRIT Awards held at the Royal Albert Hall; combing their two unique styles of music in an memorable performance.
Speaking to t5m before the show, Lang Lang and Herbie Hancock were singing one another’s praises, with Herbie Hancock joking it was a “foolish idea” to match Lang Lang’s classical talent with his own unique jazz sound. They also told us about their forthcoming European tour – which will see the duo performing both Gershwin and Ravel alongside some of Herbie’s upbeat songs.
