Leigh Francis, in the persona of Keith Lemon from his show Bo’selecta, was full of beans as he talked about himself and his new TV show. In his own words, “I look good don’t I?”
Leigh Francis, the brain behind the hit channel 4 show Bo’selecta, was a refreshing blast of humour on the red carpet. In his persona as Keith Lemon, a businessman from the North of England living off his former glory, he cracked jokes and told viewers about his show, Keith Lemon’s Very Brilliant World Tour.
The show for ITV2 follows the Leigh Francis as Keith Lemon as he travels the world, accompanied by a number of celebrities, including Holly Valance, Spice Girls Mel C and Mel B, Sharon Osborne and many others. For Lemon, the purpose of the ‘round the world expedition was to “fatten my horizons, ‘cos I’m quite narrow minded.”
Keith Lemon is “Businessman of the Year ’93, responsible for the Securipole,” a device he created to prevent “evil scumbuggers from stealing your car.” When explaining what he means by ‘scumbuggers’, Lemon says “people who live in caravans, tax-dodgers, and I won’t go any further than that because I’ll become un-CP.”
With typical style from the comic, when asked what he was wearing, he replied simply “clothes.” Keith Lemon claimed to be dressed “from head to toe in Primark” which he refers to as ”Primani.” He seemed particularly taken with the t5m interviewer, and remarked “you look bang tidy.”
