Attention all boys and girls looking for the perfect Valentine’s gift for your other half:
High-end fashion house Yves Saint Laurent are giving away free heart-shaped USB sticks loaded with their S/S 09 Manifesto.
This Valentine’s Day get yourselves down to Covent Garden, Bond Street, High Street Kensington or Knightsbridge and you could be in for a viral treat. 2,000 of the USBs will be given away, complete with YSL cotton tote bag, to the first passers-by from 11:00am. The initiative is happening across the world too, in Paris, Milan, New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
The 20-page Manifesto was photographed by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and features the beautiful Claudia Schiffer, alongside bonus ‘behind the scenes’ footage and interactive features.
This is the fourth Manifesto that Yves Saint Laurent front-man Stefano Pilati has produced and its novel, grassroots approach to advertising suggests he is very much in tune with the zeitgeist of our times: out of the glossies and on to the streets – YSL is democratising fashion!
