Never heard of it?  Well, basically Spotify is a neat little application developed by some lovely Swedish chaps that lets you stream oodles of free music legally.  So you can play all your favourite songs, as many times you want, without having to pay!

It’s is a great way of listening to music at an instant without having to wait around for it to download.  It’s also pretty ace for finding new bands and listening to albums before you fork out your hard earned. Probably the best thing about Spotify though, is that you can share your very own playlists with your friends, and do a bit of mixing and matching.

However, as yet, it isn’t perfect.  While Spotify has a license for all the major labels, there are still a number of independent labels that are notable absentees.  Although, Spotify do claim to upload 10,000 songs a day, so hopefully that little problem will be remedied soon.

Interested?  Head on over to www.spotify.com, download the application and get listening. t5m are currently hovering between Grace Jones and Grandmaster Flash (whose comeback album drops on Monday by the way). Let us know who you’re listening to on Spotify…
