South London five-piece The Maccabees have finally finished recording a follow-up album to their wistfully eccentric debut, Colour It In, which was hailed by many as one of the best alternative pop records of 2007.
In celebration of their upcoming release, which is as yet untitled, and to reward their loyal fans for the long wait, The Maccabees are giving away their new single ‘No Kind Words’ as a little taster. The eagerly anticipated track will be available to download from www.themaccabees.co.uk following its debut play on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show this Monday the 9th of February at 7:30 p.m.
Their new album was produced by Marcus Dravs (Bjork, Coldplay, Arcade Fire) and recorded in the UK and Paris. While the album is currently set for release in May, the celebrated 5-piece will be kicking off their touring with two club shows in London this month followed by an Xfm gig at the Barfly on the 5th of March prior to their headline tour which includes a date at London’s Electric Ballroom on the 5th of May.
