Seen as one of the web’s most prestigious blog awards, the 2009 Bloggies is now under way with voting for the best Blog on the Web.
Categories include best of…African, New Zealand, Australia, European, American, Canadian, plus best of politics, food, art, entertainment, teen, microblog and writing, plus many many more.
Blogs in the running are I Can Haz Cheeseburger? a destination for funny pictures of cats, and Cake Wrecks, a blog devoted to awful gateaux.
Blog of the Year involves Perez Hilton, the scandalmonger, and Post Secret- an ongoing community project where people send in their secrets anonymously on a postcard.
The Bloggie winners will be announced at the South By SouthWest festival in Austin, Texas in March- we’ll keep you posted.
