Following the tragic death of actress Natasha Richardson, stars of film and stage alike have made moving tributes in memory of the celebrated theatre actress.

Everyone from Lindsay Lohan, who starred with Natasha in a remake of The Parent Trap, to Judi Dench have spoken about Natasha’s ‘incredibly luminous quality’ and ‘ brilliant sense of humour’.  Sam Mendes, who produced Cabaret, a performance which earned Natasha a Tony, said ‘it defies belief that this gifted, brave, tenacious, wonderful woman is gone’.

Not only this, but tonight more than 50 venues in London’s West End will dim their lights in memory of the actress as a gesture of condolence for her family. A similar vigil occured in New York earlier this week, where Liam Neeson, Natasha’s husband, and members of her family were present.

Natasha’s death represents a huge loss to Natasha’s family, and the theatre community alike. Our thoughts are with her friends and family at this time.
