Of all the zillions of festivals that are happening this summer, us at t5m are particularly about the Camden Crawl ‘09 which happens this Friday 24th and Saturday 25th of April…Why? Because for £55 for a two day ticket music lovers can see a selection of new and well-established acts perform live, including the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, VV Brown, Little Boots and best of all, the iconic and fantastic Madness.
The bands will perform in the evening in popular pubs, bars and music venues across Camden including Bar Fly, KOKO, Jazz Cafe and celebrity favourite The Hawley Arms, and during the day Camden Crawlers will be kept entertained by quizzes, comedy, short film and unsigned bands.
Unbeknown to many, the Camden Crawl is in its fifth year and has hosted many acts that have gone on to become huge: The Kooks and The Mystery Jets in 2005, and Adele and current number one artist Calvin Harris in 2007. Whilst mud, tents, pot noodles and portoloos can be charming and part of the festival fun, the Camden Crawl is full of all the festival goodness without the yucky bits. And the good news is that because it is not as well known, or as big as most of its festival counterparts, there are still tickets available!
