Man of the moment, Teddy Thompson, will soon be appearing on t5m.com. A friend of ours from the outset we are looking forward to his channel going live. Apart from his interview there will also be some footage of his New Year concert in New York last year which raised money and funds for the Save Darfur cause. Samantha Power, one of Obama’s advisor team, gave a rousing speech which we will also be posting. Teddy had a selection of friends perform with him, including Rufus Wainwright (coming soon on t5m.com). Teddy and Rufus brought the house down with a duet of King of the Road which they originally recorded for the soundtrack of Brokeback Mountain.
Teddy’s new album, A Piece of What You Need, has been getting rave reviews and many think it is his best work to date. Produced by super-producer, Marius de Vries, it is another tour de force of song-writing at its best. It went into the UK album chart at no.10 and the first single ‘In My Arms’ is an upbeat swinger that is not to be missed.
