Amy Molyneux and Percy Parker seem to be getting it all right these days. Just as we prepared ourselves for PPQ withdrawal following the closure of their uber-cool Conduit Street haunt, the darling duo have delighted us all with plans to open a pop-up store.

The first of PPQ’s series of pop-up stores will inhabit the Burlington Arcade on 22nd February, coinciding with London Fashion Week. The unique ‘Jackdaw Store’ will host their A/W ‘09 fashion show, based on the theme ’Make do and mend’ and will also serve as a gallery and dining room.

So, what can we expect?

PPQ in all its splendour and quirk. The collection is set to showcase PPQ’s obsession with arts and crafts, with beading and hand-knitting. The shop will be stocked (we’re guessing not for long) with the cute, candy coloured goodies that stalked the catwalks of September fashion week. Following the ‘high glamour, homemade chic’ feel, in-store display cases will be adorned with Faberge eggs, custom designed by Tom Bartlett.

Pop-up stores encourage hype and exclusivity, and it’s clearly working for PPQ. As Amy Molyneux told Vogue, ‘doing new things spurs the brand on and gives things a new life.’

Watch out for more on PPQ as London Fashion Week draws closer!
