Found your review very informative. I agree with
your comments and after seeing the MDQ on
ITV & BBC interviews, went to see it and
enjoyed the production so much I did go back
a couple of times.

“Million Dollar Quartet” is an energetic show with solid tunes and is a great introduction for many to the music of the “King of Rockabilly,” Carl Perkins.

I recently posted on my Rockaeology blog at http://tinyurl.com/46dm7u6 the story of how Perkins wrote “Blue Suede Shoes.” The germ of the idea was from Johnny Cash. But it was during a break at a performance that Perkins overheard an exchange between two dancing teens that set the song into motion. Also inside is the tale of how and why “Go, cat, go” was suggested to Perkins – by Sun Records producer Sam Phillips.
