The man behind the legendary ‘Reggae Reggae Sauce’ and Dragon’s Den success story Levi Roots speaks exclusively to t5m at this year’s Notting Hill Carnival.
Reggae Reggae Sauce, which has become ubiquitous with Carribbean cooking and BBQs the world over, has been a regular fixture at Notting Hill Carnival for years, with Levi and his seven children manning a stall, along with the hundreds of other foodstalls selling everything from plantains to goat curry and of course, jerk chicken. And even now, after the huge success he has enjoyed, he still returns to Carnival every year to indulge in the music, food and irrepressible atmosphere.
Levi tells us about what he believes to be the fundamental aspects of Carnival, food and music – and particularly praises Sunday’s emphasis on children and family, with facepainting, elaborate costumes and incredible dancing!
Embodying the rebellious, fun-loving and family-centered ethos of Notting Hill Carnival, Levi Roots on t5m is the perfect anecdote for back to work blues…
