The first ever American Topshop opened in New York’s Soho district on Wednesday and with it came the elite of the elite. Sir Philip Green was joined by supermodel and designer Kate Moss, husband and wife Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, actress Rosario Dawson, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Debbie Harry and Marc Jacobs.
Topshop NYC will have fashionistas salivating- the 30, 000 sq ft store is complete with 4 floors of on-trend clothes, futuristic lighting tubes, DJ booth, Shoe Lounge (very important), 32 changing rooms and a VIP suite for the expected celebrity clientele.
In additional to the opening, Kate Moss’s ninth collection for TS will include lingerie for the first time, as well as a ‘capsule range’ in revamped Art Nouveau Liberty prints, and British design houses Preen and Jonathan Saunders. Go the Brits!
