War Child is back with it’s fifth and most ambitious album ‘Heroes’ – which unites fifteen music icons and their stand out tracks with some of today’s brightest, freshest acts.

Sir Paul McCartney, who featured on the first War Child album ‘Help’ in 1995, was one of the first legends to lend his support to the project, choosing four-time Brit nominated Duffy to cover his 1973 hit ‘Live and Let Die’. Duffy is joined by Estelle, who is also nominated for Best British Female Solo Artist at Wednesday’s Brit Awards, who reworks Stevie Wonder’s ‘Superstition’, alongside a galaxy of contemporary stars, including Rufus Wainwright performing a one-off medley of Brian Wilson’s ‘Wonderful’ and ‘Song for Children’.

Heroes contains some of the most memorable and inspired collaborations in music history – combining the force of musical legends, who collectively have sold more than 1.4billion albums, with the innovation and originality of our most promising young artists.  The concept behind the album is one which mirrors the work of War Child itself – reflecting the need to place faith in ‘the next generation’.
Heroes is available from the 16th February.
