Rosario Dawson’s acting career started off unexpectedly, being cast on the street for a role as Ruby in 1995 indie production KIDS after director Larry Clarke spotted her on the stoop of her apartment building, and it looks like Rosario’s prolific career is going from strength to strength.
Having left the idea of marine biology behind, she is now starring along side Will Smith in Seven Pounds, which sees an uncharacteristically terse performance with ‘academy’ and ‘awards’ written all over it. She is also returning as leather-clad dominatrix prostitute Gail in Sin City 2, which she will begin filming in April.
To add to the list is thriller Killshot, an adaptation of Elmore Leonard’s novel, Rosario plays Mickey Rourke’s lover, and she has lent her voice to animations The Haunted World of El Superbeasto, an original Rob Zombie comic, and Superwoman. Phew! It’s going to be nothing short of a busy and exciting year for our t5m star.
