David Cameron and wife Samantha have announced the birth of their fourth child, a baby girl. Downing Street said both the baby and the PM’s wife were “doing very well”. A spokesman said: “The Prime Minister and Mrs Cameron are delighted to announce the birth of their fourth child, a baby girl who was born weighing 6lb 1oz.” Expected in September, the birth of their baby girl was a welcome surprise as they holidayed in Cornwall, however, despite arriving a few weeks prematurely, the birth was reportedly relatively straight forward. Their baby girl, yet to be named, was born around midday by caesarian section. Cameron now intends to extend his holiday as he takes paternity leave on his return to Downing Street next week.
