Coldplay. Kings of Leon. Kylie Minogue. The Bee Gees. Even Olivia Newton John. What a lineup, and more importantly what a cause. Over 120,000 people attended the Sound Relief concerts in Sydney and Melbourne to raise money for the victims of the bush fires which have devastated Australia.

Coldplay’s 40minute set included Clocks and Viva La Vida, as well as surprise appearance from Australian hero John Farnham for a rendition of You’re the Voice. At the same time, over 78,000 fans watched Kings of Leon perform at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, with a set including Use Somebody and Revelry.

t5m reported yesterday that Natalie Imbruglia is also planning a fundraiser for the victims of the bush fires and floods which claimed nearly 200 lives – we look forward to seeing what she has in store.
