Eddy Grant is a music industry talking point again having signed a new deal with EMI which covers all his well-known and well-loved hits, from Joanna and Electric Avenue, to I Don’t Wanna Dance and Living on the Frontline, as well as future compositions.

Hannah caught up with him outside his tour bus at the WOMAD Festival where he talked to us about his pioneering days as a young musician, the challenges that he overcame early on in his career and his era-defining work in the studio that he set up.
