Having recently starred in the worldwide hit film, Salt, taking $216.3 million, it may seem like a strange time for Jolie to be switching job roles. However, Jolie has more than proven herself as a multi-tasker: an actor, mother and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, so what’s to stop her from taking on the title of director? Jolie is set to make her directing debut this autumn with a Bosnian war film which is rumoured to be costing just $10 million to make. The film follows the tale of a Bosnian woman who falls in love with a Serbian military man. Jolie suggests that it is ‘a love story, not a political statement [intending to] involve as many local people as possible, featuring local actors from the Bosnia and Herzegovina area. Jolie herself however, will not be appearing in front of the camera, taking her debut directing role very seriously.
