As New York City Fashion Week draws to a close, the biggest names in trans-Atlantic fashion took to the runway, with none other than the grande doyenne of New York fashion, Anna Wintour in the front row.
First up was Allude, with their bright cut out dresses in zingy colours and fresh whites in flowing fabrics and structured satins – followed by Issac Mizrahi whose collection was influenced by masculine tailoring - with pork pie hats, high waisted trousers, and a sprinkling of sequined hot-hot-hot pants and jump suits to give the collection some feminine warmth.
Trias added metallic hues to next season, with rich golds and pale cinammons, all in stiff folds and pleated dresses. Tommy Hilfiger’s collection was all flowing gowns in rich colours – deep reds and pure turquoise, with plunging necklines, high hemlines and strappy ‘cage shoes’.
What a way to end NYFW!
