This LFW will see a whole day dedicated to menswear, and we’re looking forward to seeing some exciting collections from favourites Tim Soar, Carolyn Massey and James Long.

The BFC has announced the provisional schedule for London Fashion Week’s menswear day on the 23rd September. Menswear day will showcase 25 designers. It is the first time LFW has run a dedicated menswear day, following its first menswear showcase in February.

The schedule includes a diverse mix of both established and emerging designers and will feature catwalk shows, presentations and installations.

The catwalk will open at Somerset House with shows from Carolyn Massey and James Long, winners of the BFC’s first Newgen Men talent support awards.

Fashion East’s menswear installations, curated by Lulu Kennedy, will take place in the East Wing and Vaults at Somerset House. The 12 designers showcasing as part of this are: Blaak, Casely-Hayford, Eastpak by Christopher Shannon, H by Harris, Husam el Odeh, Jaiden rVa James, Jordan Askill, Louise Gray, Martine Rose, Mr Hare, New Power Studio and Sibling.

Simon Ward, joint chief executive of the BFC said: “The strength and diversity of labels showcasing their spring 10 collections shows just how much support there is for a dedicated menswear day in London.”
