We catch up with fashion extraordinaire Hillary Alexander at this year’s London Fashion Week to talk shows, predictions and British history.

And Hillary must be the busiest woman come London Fashion Week – having been to nine shows on Saturday – including Kinder Aggugini who she describes as ‘really sensational’ and fashion newcomer Hannah Marshall, who clearly has the Geldof sister’s endorsement with both Peaches and Pixie in the front row. Hillary also managed to squeeze in Charles Anastase, who wowed his audience with huge tulle skirts and dresses which could easily have been mistaken for haute couture.

Hillary also manages to pretty accurately predict PPQs offering – suggesting it will be ‘girlie yet sexy, very short and with some serious boots!’ – she isn’t a fashion guru for nothing!

Talking about this being the 25th anniversary of London Fashion Week – Hillary sings the praises of British fashion – explaining how it has the perfect mix of anarchy and tradition and is never afraid to take risks. Name checking the designers LFW has given birth to – including John Galliano and Alexander McQueen, Hillary tells us that every designer who feels even an ounce of patriotism will return to LFW this year.
