Kicking off London Fashion Week, Naomi Campbell hosted Fashion Relief for Haiti, raising funds for mothers and babies in the devastated country – with the likes of Kate Moss, Geri Halliwell and even Dame Shirley Bassey talking to the catwalk.
Kate and Naomi also took the opportunity to pay tribute to their dear friend, Alexander McQueen, by wearing his beautiful designs. Kate was later reduced to tears, when her work colleage and retail mogul friend Philip Green bid £100,000 in the auction for the McQueen gown she was wearing.
Sarah Brown, patron of the White Ribbon Alliance, which campaigns for safe childbirth, opened proceedings, with Jolie Richardson and Joanna Lumley in the front row.
Raising over £1million for the White Ribbon Alliance, Naomi’s Fashion for Relief event marked a fantastic beginning to London Fashion Week A/W 2010.
