PPQ made fashion history this year at London Fashion Week after using a cast of entirely black models for their catwalk show on Saturday evening – and t5m caught up with the design duo behind it all, Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker to find out all about it.
Amy explains that this fashion week has made them feel retrospective as they look back across their numerous achievements and show stopping collections, and revealed that their inspiration for S/S was bold floral prints and psychedelic colours.
We also had to ask them about their choice of models, and whether they thought it will be front page news, to which both Amy and Percy reply that they ‘hope so’ as it means their collection will get noticed! Percy also sings the praises of the models in the show, calling them a ‘great group of girls’ and explaing that PPQ never designed for just one type of person.
And even though we imagine they both must be exhausted, both Amy and Percy will still find the time to see as many shows as they can – to support their friends and because they both ‘love London’.
