It was a mixed bag from Nicole Farhi yesterday afternoon with a collection that encompassed paper, rubber paillettes and perspex. Following on from Mark Fast’s ultra-modern pieces Farhi was futuristic with scalene triangle patterns and unusual, fetishist detail.

It was a very feminine take on minimalism with simple dresses with clean lines and sheer fabric. At times the items were a little plain while others were pretty in their simplicity, the pink dress in particular (pictured), was a stunner.

Brilliant white seems to be very prominent for S/S11 and white dresses featured that were so floaty it looked as though the models might drift away if a stiff breeze blew down the catwalk.
