Earlier this week, British style icon Kate Moss revealed her final collection for Topshop, marking the end of a fashion era. Hoards of fashion fans gathered outside Topshop, desperate for a glimpse of Ms Moss. Dressed in a sparkling black jumpsuit, glowing and pretty, Kate posed next to the range with Sir Phillip Green and daughter Chloe by her side.
The 130 piece collection revealed all those pieces we know and love Kate for, including some favourites from previous collections, such as the iconic ditsy print dress and the Victoriana leather jacket. Some new pieces that will surely be snapped up quickly are the black feather cape at £90, the black silk blazer at £125, and the star print chiffon dress for £75.
It is unfortunate for the range to have come to an end, but all celebrity collections have a shelf-life. The Kate Moss for Topshop range has undoubtedly been a success, especially given the fact it is inspired by Ms Moss’ own wardrobe, however after 14 collections, it was felt it the range had passed its peak. We can only wear so many ditsy print dresses and leather jackets!
The style icon of the decade will undoubtedly go on to pursue further new and exciting fashion ventures, so don’t think you’ve seen the last of her. Indeed, something tells us The Moss; the brand, the icon, will be around for a lot longer.
