Kicking off Milan Fashion Week to a gloriously glamourous start was Gucci, with creative director Frida Giannini at the helm. Gucci showed us high-octane glamour, with a series of stunning gowns and separates in a kaleidoscope of colour, really setting the benchmark for those to follow.

Models paraded down the runway, adorned in the most luxurious pieces, with Frida experimenting with block colours in emerald, royal blue, nudes, and sunset orange. It seem for Milan too, this years 70’s trend just won’t go away, creeping into Spring/Summer collections, as Gucci also referenced this with tassles, fringing, and jumpsuits making an appearance on the runway. A particularly desirable piece being a beaded and tassled LBD, paired with a smart up- do and a red lip.

Necklines were a focal point at Gucci, with several low cut, plunging necklines, teamed with simple, elegant silk pencil skirts and accessorised with metallic waist-cinching belts and clutches. This was a collection all about detail and texture, with Giannini making use of feathering, sequins, beading, and tassles, all polished off with signature Gucci sophistication. Once again,  a stunning collection from Frida Giannini; this woman can do no wrong!
