A week after he graduated drama school, Kenny’s first film was a heavy and sexually charged film, where he had a sex scene with a complete stranger. It was very technical and very unsexy, however, he tells t5m. However, his job after that, entitled ‘Anorak of Fire’ for BBC2 was a turning point. He was the lead and his character, who was a trainspotter, had to choose between love and trains.

In between takes, the director would tell him to sit down and let someone get him a drink , the reason being he wanted Kenny to manage his energy levels, and then on top of this were the pressures of trying to find marks and lighting, and still trying to make it look organic.

Kenny tells us that the best education came from Sir Anthony Hopkins during the making of ‘Titus’, who he watched and studied during the shoot. He made everything look natural and second nature.
