The pair waltz into a bar, attracting the attention of the locals with their stunning looks and revealing outfits.

But the attraction is soon lost when the pair start to speak and reveal their childlike intellect.

The 27-year-old beauty wore a revealing black Preen dress with Samantha Wills earring and Sergio Rossi pumps. Even though there had been rumours that she was seeing Alexander Skarsgard, the series star, the actress did not show any signs that they were linked romantically!

Also attending the even was Stephen Moyer, Anna Paquin, Carrie Preston and Jim Parrack.. Season three of “True Blood” will kick off this Sunday, June 13th.

Kate is set to play the wife of a Hollywood scriptwriter played by James Marsden, who returns to her hometown of Mississippi to find that life is not as idyllic and peaceful as she remembered – a role played by Susan George in Sam Peckinpahs 1971 original, while Marsden’s role was first placed by a fresh faced Dustin Hoffman.

 Alexander Skarsgard will play Bosworth’s character’s boyfriend, a former high school football hero, who sees her return as an opportunity to reclaim glory.

The remake is also set to star Dominic Purcell and Willa Holland – and will be released in 2010.

“I’m a true fan,” said Bosworth, who brought her mum to the party. “I have been in love with this brand for many years. My favorite thing is the feminine touch with the edgy twist.” Bosworth styled her own outfit,  looked stunning in a studded top with a diaphanous floor length skirt, noting, “That’s what Chloé is all about — individuality. You can take things from each collection and make it your own.”

Throughout the cavernous studios, the hip crowd shot pool, took turns in old-fashioned photo booths and bobbed to performances by Janella Monae and Crystal Castles.

Speaking at the 2009 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, Kate said; “I bought the rights to a book called Lost Girls and Love Hotels, and I’ve just had a wonderful writer adapt it. Now we’re in the stage of finding a director and building it up from the ground up. It’s a lot of work but we’re going to do it.”

Kate’s been madly busy recently, as she occupied the front rows of numerous shows at New York Fashion Week – including Diesel Black Gold and British label, Preen. She also upped her fashion credentials at the Oscar Party in her mermaid-effect Alexander McQueen gown.

‘When I was about 13, there was word going around that they were casting for a film in upstate New York and they were looking for authentic horseback riders. The director was Robert Redford and that film ended up being The Horse Whisperer.’

With no previous experience as an actress, Bosworth cantered into the role. Post filming, instead of embarking on what would turn out to be a lifelong career,  the unusual choice was made of putting Hollywood on the back burner until she had finished high school.

However, Bosworth never lost sight of her desire to be on the big screen and the brave decision she took to turn down Princeton University paid off when she landed the lead in Blue Crush.

It was watching The Usual Suspects, years before any of this happened, that Bosworth knew she wanted to act. Years later, being able to call one of the stars of that film, Kevin Spacey, a mentor and friend is barely believable. ‘I feel so lucky. I am not really sure how it happened but I’ll take it!’

Not the typical A-lister, Kate is refreshingly grounded. ‘For me, being with your friends, nurturing those relationships, falling in and out of love, of having those experiences, those are the things which will enrich your life.’

Initially Kate Bosworth’s concern about her lack of expertise held her back from becoming involved with Global Green. Talking of her thoughts at the time, she says of giving advice on how to help stem climate change; “I’m not a scientist… I don’t know what to say.” However, she soon became aware that making a difference doesn’t have to be a technical business.

Global Green is the US arm of the Green Cross, an organisation that seeks to mitigate damage done to the environment by human activity and to prevent future conflict over resources. Kate Bosworth recently shunned the more traditional pre-Oscar party circuit to attend the star studded Global Green party which showcased environmentally friendly transport and construction designs. She is joined in her support for the organisation by other celebrities such as Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and Leo DiCaprio

She believes that the changes we make to our everyday lives are the key to success, and making a difference can be as simple as changing the way you commute to work. “Carpool, take public transportation… it all matters and adds up.”
