Four-time Grammy Award winner Hugh Padgham talks to t5m about his first foray into music; from learning to play the piano when he was at school, to realising he wasn’t ‘god’s gift to music’ and deciding that he wanted to work in a studio because he ‘loved gadgets’.
He even offers up some very useful advice, reminding us ‘if you’re going to do something with your life, you may as well be good at it’.

Hugh, what a geek. Yeah me too. I’ve loved the studio since being a young lad. When I saw the first advert pamphlet for the TEAC 3340. That was it. Toys for boys as they say.
One of my ten albums for the desert island, English Settlement. Fabulous guitar work.
Cheers
