Blinkbox works well and the prices are decent for most things, with some real bargains if you look carefully. However the purchasing side of things stinks. Why can’t there be some provision for a single DVD to be burned? After all I’m supposed to actually own the film I’ve paid for and am prepared to provide the blank DVD.

When my PC dies then all of my films are lost? So how can that really qualify as a purchase? It’s more like a conditional loan without a return date.

When I get a hard copy of what I’ve bought to carry about, play on another PC or wear as a hat, that’s when I own it.

There will be many, many people who buy a single film and never go back, which is a shame and it seems so avoidable. Unless they don’t want people owning their purchase – so why sell it is a purchase when it’s effectively an eternal rental for that sole PC?

I think Blink Box is great! Plenty of content, both free and to pay for. Title prices ranging from £2.99 to £0.00. Complete TV series to watch for free, shameless, the league of gentleman etc.. What’s not to like about FREE! Quote from the above”But if you fancied watching Watchmen, Inglorious Basterds and Avatar this month, Blinkbox would require £18.97 from you”. Poppy cock!! To stream them it would cost £8.87.Now your saying not everyone can stream? Unless your still using a dial up connection 95% of households can stream. This is the way forward. No more visits to Block Buster, forgetting to send the disc back to LoveFilm and getting one film a month fo £9.99! I could go on… So I rest my case. I truly believe in this product. Well done Blink Box!

I really like blinkbox – and i think that they have a much bigger and better selection of titles

it perfect for rental and much better than other services – lovefilm blockbuster

And another thing is that purchased films can’t be transferred from one computer to another. To quote from Blinkbox’s help section:
“You can transfer the movie/TV episode if you have downloaded it and not watched it yet, i.e. before you have claimed your licence by confirming your login details. However, you are not able to copy the file to another PC once you have claimed the licence for your movie/TV episode.”

So, two years down the line when I come to replace my computer, I lose all the films I have bought???

Even the beloved itunes allows you to do this.

Just to follow up on my last post… another week has gone by and Blinkbox support have yet to solve my issue or even offer a refund… or anything!!!!
What a bunch of wasters!

I agree with the above, I only bought a film so I could download it.
It’s only afterwards that I realised I HAVE to use WMP11… installed it and it wont play!!!!!
Support are rubbish, iit takes them 2 days to respond.
Never using them again….

Not everybody is fortunate enough to be able to stream movies online. It is my responsibility to test the site as fully as possible. If your connection is good enough to stream movies online then good for you. The website still suffers from all the other faults outlined.

Why didn’t you just stream what you wanted. Why do dumb to download? Who downloads when you can access it all from the cloud, from them?

Its got the latest releases, well priced and I get it instantly.
