‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ in review
3rd July 2010 | 5 comments | 0 votes yet, click here to agree or disagree
For all of us who spent months asking if it was June yet, the fact that it is now July seems nearly unbelievable. So what does that mean? It means that Eclipse is now out in US theaters and will soon be all over the UK as well. It's US opening on Tuesday was a record-breaking $30 million for the midnight release alone. I was among those numbers, seeing the...

Happy Birthday Robert Pattinson
13th May 2010 | 1 comments | 1 person likes this
Today is Robert Pattinson's 24th birthday. All around the world today people are celebrating. Over on the main Eyes of Amber blog we're celebrating by talking about how Rob came into our lives. We've asked readers to tell us whether they were Twilight fans or Rob fans first. Really looking forward to getting the answers on that one.
Since many of you wonderful readers are from the UK, I'm guessing that... -
Remember Me arrives in the UK

While the official premiere of Remember Me was almost two weeks ago, the film will open across the UK this weekend. I have seen the film four times, but I have tried very hard to keep all of my writing and twitter feed free of spoilers. I saw this movie without spoilers and I believe that everyone deserves that same opportunity.
So I won’t be giving away any plot points here,... -

I’m sure that my readers think I’ve disappeared or totally forgotten about my little home away form home over here at t5m, but I promise I have not. I have all kinds of ideas that I want to work with here and I can’t wait to share them with you. But for today, there’s something a bit more serious to take on.
As I’m sure you know by now, Haiti was... -
When will we see Breaking Dawn?
7th December 2009 | 1 comments | 1 person likes this
As the record-breaking box office numbers began to pour in for New Moon, there was a question heard across the fandom: What about Breaking Dawn? I’ll admit, I was one of those who predicted we’d get an announcement over opening weekend. I based that prediction on the fact that New Moon had been given the green light during opening weekend of Twilight last year. But as you know, no such... -
Real men read Twilight Part 1 – TheShagDaddy
9th October 2009 | 3 comments | 1 person likes this
In the world of Twilight, the ladies over at Letters to Twilight have coined the term "unicorn" to refer to the male fans. The guys who didn't just "like" the movie, but they've read the books, too. Why unicorns you ask? Because these men are such rare and beautiful creatures. Many of us have heard of them, but few actually know any. So those of us who do know one,...

Are there any Edwards in your closet?
11th September 2009 | 13 comments | 0 votes yet, click here to agree or disagree
The more Twilight fans I meet, the more surprised I am to discover how many of them are still in the fandom closet. It never occurred to me to actively try to hide my love of all things Twilight. Okay, if I’m being really honest, obsession is probably a much more accurate word. Maybe the way that I came to Twilight has something to do with that, but let’s save...

What if Jasper was Edward?

While it’s true that these days, most people would agree that Robert Pattinson has more than done justice to the role of Edward Cullen, the initial reaction to his casting was not all positive. Who can forget the petition signed by over 70,000 to get rid of him? When I asked my twitter followers who they would want for Edward if they couldn’t have Rob, there was near revolt! My,...

Meet Sam, Marcus and Bobby
12th August 2009 | 3 comments | 0 votes yet, click here to agree or disagree
I’m working on my first set of themed articles for the blog and I’m very excited because I’m going to be writing about one of my favorite subjects. Three young men whose faces never graced the screen during Twilight, but made a huge impression with their soundtrack contributions. I am talking of course about Sam Bradley, Marcus Foster and Bobby Long.
I’m sure that most of you know there were two...

Eyes of Amber
In late 2007 my sister sent me the first three books on the Twilight Saga. I immediately fell in love with the story of Bella and Edward and couldn't put them down. My love of writing, long buried under the daily chores of raising four busy boys, was reawakened. Wanting to share my new obsession with others, I decided to write about it and Eyes of Amber was born.
