    Twi-Theories Tuesdays

It is nearly impossible to believe that the countdown is now just two weeks until New Moon. It feels like we've been saying "Is it November yet?" for well...months. And now, the answer to that is yes! It all just seems surreal. We are so close to watching New Moon. I bought my tickets weeks ago, then went back earlier this week to pick up one for the Twilight showing...

But not only did they read it, they enjoyed it and became fans themselves. Today I'm introducing you to Dean, the Instigator. He may be the rarest breed of unicorn there is. Why? Just check this out...

Part 1 of Shaun's interview left off with Loren asking him what parts of the series he found to be the most surprising.

Loren: You say you found a lot of it to be predictable. So, what part surprised you the most?
Shaun: Yeah I did find a lot of it predictable...you know this from watching movies and detective shows with me...what can I say? Umm the pregnancy was a bit of a...

Last week I introduced you to a unicorn named TheShagDaddy. This week, I have another Twilight-reading guy for you to meet. His name is Shaun and he was introduced to the books by his lovely wife Loren. They graciously agreed to sit down and do a q & a.

Loren: Did you read the books or see the movie first?
Shaun: I read the books first.

Loren: What made you decide to read...

In the world of Twilight, the ladies over at Letters to Twilight have coined the term "unicorn" to refer to the male fans. The guys who didn't just "like" the movie, but they've read the books, too. Why unicorns you ask? Because these men are such rare and beautiful creatures. Many of us have heard of them, but few actually know any. So those of us who do know one,...

October is here already, which means we get to say that New Moon comes out next month! That is just incredible. October has already brought us many things. Hot Topic and Nordstrom both unveiled their New Moon product lines yesterday. A video came out of 81 pictures from New Moon: The Illustrated Movie Companion. September brought us several different New Moon promotional posters from Summit. There is a lot out...

So the news for UK Twilight fans this week hasn’t been great. Monday brought the announcement that the London premiere of New Moon has been canceled. Summit will be holding the World Premiere in Los Angeles on November 16. While this is incredibly disappointing, it also brings up a question… what to do to get ready for New Moon?
While it’s not a premiere, I do have an answer on how...

The highlight of Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards for most of us was the extended New Moon trailer. I would be lying if I said there wasn’t a lot of material there that caught me by surprise. There just are no words for the scenes of Edward and the Volturi. Seeing more of the wolves’ transformations was amazing as well. It looks like Chris Weitz has done a fabulous job...

Are there any Edwards in your closet?

The more Twilight fans I meet, the more surprised I am to discover how many of them are still in the fandom closet. It never occurred to me to actively try to hide my love of all things Twilight. Okay, if I’m being really honest, obsession is probably a much more accurate word. Maybe the way that I came to Twilight has something to do with that, but let’s save...

    What if Jasper was Edward?

While it’s true that these days, most people would agree that Robert Pattinson has more than done justice to the role of Edward Cullen, the initial reaction to his casting was not all positive. Who can forget the petition signed by over 70,000 to get rid of him? When I asked my twitter followers who they would want for Edward if they couldn’t have Rob, there was near revolt! My,...

Eyes of Amber

Eyes of Amber

In late 2007 my sister sent me the first three books on the Twilight Saga. I immediately fell in love with the story of Bella and Edward and couldn't put them down. My love of writing, long buried under the daily chores of raising four busy boys, was reawakened. Wanting to share my new obsession with others, I decided to write about it and Eyes of Amber was born.
