The University Of Central Lancashire’s graduate show had one designer that really stood out for me- Sara Wadsworth (pictured above).
She showcased chiffon tunics and kaftans, printed with Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Other dresses were printed with the Union flag, or Union Jack, in shades of sage, navy and yellow, all over yellow bra tops and sports-shorts.
A penguin, a drummer boy and a monkey were the prints on display on Jessica Thompson’s dresses, skirts and crop tops bringing a cheeky feel to the collection.
And also worth a mention is Sara Zadeh’s designs. She sent her models down the runway in pink, coral and black crochet maxi dresses over the top of tight body con style floral dresses.
Graduate Fashion Week continues until Wednesday night with a Gala show at which the winners of the Best Menswear, Best Womenswear and the River Island £20,000 Gold Award will be announced.
