High-profile guests turned up the style at the British Red Cross London Ball on 21 November, raising around £400,000 for charity.

The party, held at the Room by the River on London’s South Bank, featured a star-studded guest list, which included top designer Roberto Cavalli, Girls Aloud stars Cheryl Cole and Kimberly Walsh, Joan Collins, and Zara Phillips.

Honorary Chairman of the Ball Committee, Roberto Cavalli and his wife Eva, auctioned off an exclusive fashion lot, including two tickets to one of Roberto’s Milan shows, a dress from his latest collection and a private fitting with him personally. Roberto said: “We are honored to be supporting the wonderful and amazing Red Cross volunteers who do so much for those in need around the world.”

Other top auction lots included holidays in the Galapagos Islands donated by Reading FC chairman John Madjeski and the opportunity to be the first person in the world to own the brand new Santorini Land Rover Defender 90 SVX. The limited edition Soft Top vehicle was designed to celebrate Land Rover‚s 60th anniversary and was launched for the first time at the London Ball.
